ABOUT ME

My name is Christine King and I own Making A Difference Therapy. I am based in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne and see clients in and around the North East:

Gosforth, Jesmond, Westerhope, Heaton, Benton, Killingworth, Wideopen, Cramlington,  Kingston Park, Dinnington, Ponteland, Alnwick, Morpeth, Gateshead, coastal areas (Ashington, Blyth, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, North Shields, South Shields) and the Durham and Sunderland areas.

I've always had a passion for helping people and after working in the NHS for many years I decided to retrain as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.  The course I chose also included Hypnotherapy which I was pretty sceptical about, but boy how wrong was I.   Clinical Hypnotherapy is in fact an amazing tool to overcome all kinds of issues whether as a stand alone therapy or alongside Counselling. 

 

I work from my home in Fenham, Newcastle upon Tyne, seeing clients face to face (Covid restrictions allowing) and via video calls on Zoom. ​

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (AD Dip PC) which carries a Quality Mark of the National Counselling Society and is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing and a
Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (Dip Hyp CS) - also accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Society and the Royal College of Nursing
